Web design for contractors

Contractor Website Design for Remodelers, Home Builders and ADU Builders

A contractor's website has one job: convince a homeowner you can handle their project before they call. SquidInk USA is a web design studio in Glendora, CA. We build custom-coded sites for general contractors and construction companies. Contractor websites are a new specialty for us. A labelled sample home page is on this page.

Before-and-after project galleries

Homeowners want proof before they call. A gallery that shows each job as a before photo, an after photo and a short note on the scope tells them what you do well and what kind of project you take on. We lay the photos out for phones first, so the gallery loads fast on mobile data and scrolls easily with one thumb. You send the photos and notes; we build the pages around them.

Your license number where homeowners look

Before someone hires a builder, they look for a license number, proof of insurance and a real business address. We place your license details in the header, the footer and on the quote page, so they are easy to find without digging. Show the license number your state board issued, the insurance you carry and the area you cover. Clear basics like these help a stranger feel safe enough to reach out.

A quote form that asks the right questions

A vague contact form gets vague messages. Our quote form asks for the project type, a rough size, the address or town, the timing the homeowner has in mind and photos of the space. That way you spend your time on jobs that fit, not on a phone call to find out what the homeowner wants. You walk into the first visit already knowing the job.

Referrals that check you out first

Many good jobs start with a neighbor's recommendation. The homeowner gets your name, then looks you up on their phone before calling. If your site answers the obvious questions in one scroll, that referral is more likely to turn into a call. Put your strongest project, the area you serve and a clear way to request an estimate near the top of every page.

Can you show my past projects as before-and-after photos?

Yes. Send us your photos and a line on each job: what it was, what you changed and the town. We lay them out as before-and-after galleries that load fast on phones and stay easy to read. We only show projects you give us the go-ahead to show.

Will a new website get me to the top of Google?

No one can promise a ranking, and ranking takes time. We build the site with on-page SEO, clear page titles and business structured data, and we help with your Google Business Profile. Those give search engines an accurate picture of your business. Results still depend on your area and your competitors.

Can I see contractor website examples?

Yes. This page includes a clearly labelled sample home page for a contractor. It is our design, not a client site. We have not built a site in this trade yet, so we show a sample rather than claim work we have not done. Tell us your trade and we will talk it through.

How do I ask for a quote?

Use the free quote form on any page. We reply within one business day. Tell us the trade you are in, the towns you cover and any sites you admire. In-person kickoff is easy for nearby businesses.
